The Ghana Entertainment Awards, USA (GEA USA) has bestowed a prestigious honorary award on the multifaceted Nana Kwame Osei Sarpong, popularly known as Nockus or Da Soulman, in recognition of his remarkable and enduring contributions to the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
The representative from GEA USA, in a heartfelt tribute, commended Nockus for his outstanding dedication to the entertainment sector, spanning over two decades.
“You’ve operated across our airwaves for over 20 years and you have achieved incredible feats, shining light on people and places. Today, it’s an absolute honor to present this award in person to you. You more than deserve it, and everyone within the space can attest to that,” said the GEA USA representative.
Nockus, visibly moved by the recognition, expressed his gratitude, stating, “I’m thankful and I really don’t have words now, but to get this level of recognition is an extreme honor. It means so much that you flew in to the country to present it personally, and having it in my hands feels surreal. Thank you, GEA USA.”

Nockus, is a renowned Ghanaian radio and television host, MC, actor, voice actor and the pioneering figure of Ghana’s no.1 urban radio station, YFM. Over the past two decades, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the Ghanaian music scene, particularly for his role in unveiling new talents.
Known for his keen eye for emerging artists, Nockus has been instrumental in the careers of several big names in the music industry. He has been actively involved in radio programming and events that breathed life into the careers of artists such as Jupitar, AI (now Ayisi), King Promise, Kuvie, Lady Jay, and Yaa Pono, among others.
