Mercy Bee the Ekumfi Princess, producer of Ghana’s favorite entertainment radio shows, Ayekoo After-Dryve and Showbiz Xtra, has been shortlisted for the best producer award at this year’s Ghana Entertainment Awards USA.
She has been nominated alongside other TV/Radio producers like Mr. Haglah, Godwin Dogbey, Philip Nai, Sandra Akakpo and Ella Okunmwendia, however, the Ekumfi Princess is not fazed by the line-up, and believes that her name is already engraved on the award plaque.

Mercy Bee has been the producer of the Ayekoo After-Dryve show and Showbiz Xtra for 5 and 5years respectively; a period within which she has driven both shows onto the path of recognition.
Upon hearing news of the nomination, Mercy Bee said, “It’s quite amazing that every year, nominations come through but every time, I get even more emotional. This is never going to be something normal to me. I will always be super grateful and appreciative for these nominations because they go a long way to drive my purpose and motivation in this industry. I promise to keep giving my all and we will keep bagging the nominations and winning the awards”.

Programmes Manager of Happy98.9FM, Mr. Elwoode Mantey, also said, “Mercy Bee deserves all the nominations and awards she gets because she truly delivers to satisfaction and such appraisals are necessary to keep the spirit alive. Mercy Bee expressed immense appreciation to God for His undying love and favor, her mom and the whole GMA and GMABC team for sticking with her and supporting her through thick and thin. She also encouraged people to vote for her because “when I win this award, I win it for us all”.
Mercy Bee the Ekumfi Princess is also the host of award-winning girl talk show, Girl Vibes which airs on eTV Ghana every Saturday at 6pm.
The GEAUSA 22 is an award scheme organized by BDN Ent New York & 4syte Tv. The event takes place in the USA and this year’s edition is slated for July 8th, 2022. The award show will host major Ghanaian musicians and entertainers as they connect with their diaspora fans and colleagues to celebrate Ghana’s entertainment industry.
