Speaking on Spanish TV, the Barcelona defender adds Real Madrid reporters to a group, sends them pig emojis and then kicks them out of the group.
“We have a Whatsapp group with every player in Barça, and some former players. sometimes we add Madrid journalists like [Tomas] Roncero, send them pig emojis and kick them out of the group,” he hilariously said.
It’s not the first time Pique has detailed his WhatsApp shenanigans.
In 2018, he made a ‘special group’ which included Real Madrid players and all they did was talk sh*t.
“I’m going to let you in on a little inside information. Everybody knows that footballers have text groups on WhatsApp.” he said in Players’ Tribune.
“I have one just for my friends from home, and I have another just for my Barca teammates. But my favourite one might surprise you. Earlier this season, when we were already 8 or 9 points clear of Real Madrid in the league, I started a special group for some of the guys on the Spanish national team who play for Real Madrid and Barcelona.
“All we do in that group is talk sh*t to one another about Barca and Real! It’s the best. We’re just like little kids. And the truth is, it’s especially hilarious for me right now, because now we’re up 15 points on Real in the league. So I’m getting very creative in my responses.
“Last season, when the Real guys were winning everything, they were feeling pretty good. They were talking sh*t constantly whenever I saw them at national team training.”
Real Madrid are well off the pace this season. They’re miles behind Barcelona in La Liga and out of the Champions League and Copa del Rey.
We bet the WhatsApp group is on fire.
