Ghana moved up one place to 37th on the latest FIFA rankings for the month of June.
The Black Stars did not play any competitive matches for the period under review but managed to pick up 728 points and third place on the African rankings behind Algeria, who have 771 points, and Cote d’Ivoire (738 points).
With the Black Stars expected to play against Mauritius this weekend, Ghana’s position could move upwards in the next rankings with a good result.
Senegal (631 points) and Egypt (629 points) close out the top 5 in Africa.
On the global stage, Argentina top the rankings with Belgium, Colombia, Germany, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and Austria close out the top 10.
