Head of Programs for Accra-based radio station, Assase Radio, Nana Otu Gyandoh has asserted that Ghanaian actor Michael Blackson, is famous for publicly degrading the people of Ghana and Africa at large.
In an interview on Y97.9FM’s Reggae Republic, the media personality disclosed that he has kept tabs on Blackson for about a minute; through interviews, he has only heard him humiliate his own people. “I have listened to him a lot of times on the Breakfast Club, and he only has time to make fun of Ghana and black people; he’s been successful by degrading his own people, and he continuously does that,” he hinted.
Mr. Otu Gyandoh made these assertions based on the claims of Michael Blackson, who named Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Black Sherrif on an American podcast and interview segment. However, the broadcaster begs to differ.
In the interview, the media analyst spoke about the qualities an individual must exhibit to be called a “superstar,” stating that “a superstar, actually, is somebody who is extremely famous at what they do; could be an artist, could be a sportsperson.” They are extremely famous, they would be at the top of their game, they are the best at what they offer, and they can influence society in so many ways with their stardom.”
Prior to making the earlier statement, he stated that Blackson consistently disparages black people and perceives Ghana as little more than a village.”He continuously does that. If he comes to Ghana and he says we have only four superstars in Ghana, probably he’s in a hurry to describe Ghana as a village.” he echoed.
