The Ghana Tourism Authority is gearing up for the celebration of this year’s National chocolate day across the country on 14th February themed “Love Chocolate, Love Adventure”. The day will be celebrated under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Creative Arts and will be geared towards the promotion of Agro-tourism.
The program line-up includes a social media trivia campaign on the theme which will be run to award winners with prizes such as overnight adventure trips across the country. In addition, inbound passengers to Ghana on the day will receive Golden Tree Chocolates.
As part of its mandate, the Authority intends to re-organise the Tetteh Quarshie cocoa farm which is the first cocoa farm at Akwapim-Mampong into a major Agro-tourist site. A grand-breaking event would be held to kick-start the process.
The day is being celebrated in partnership with Cocoa Processing Company, Appointed Time Screen Printing, Cocobod and Niche Cocoa.
