Ghanaian Dancehall Artist Inspired by Alkaline Gets Face Tattoo

Dancehall act Jamal Suraj known on stage as Cash King inspired by Jamaica’s Alkaline has come under heavy criticism for his face tattoo.
The “No Tommorow” singer based in Accra New Town disclosed he found music at 17 years and the response to his his “We Nu Inna Dem War” single convinced him to take his craft more serious.
“I was making a lot of music and putting it everywhere hoping one of the records was going to stick with the people and lucky for me “We Nu Inna Dem War” got big on the streets.
“Affiliated to “Too Much Money” Cash King believes his dream to escape the hardship of his harsh environment inspires his music and art.

“I want to use my music as a tool to escape this environment I find myself in now that’s why I roll with the Too Much Money crew. If I consider being on the streets and all the things I have been through I feel I have the skills and principles and team that can push me to new heights and my life better.”
Now 22 years of age, Cash King is currently promoting his No Tomorrow single which he hopes will explain some of his decisions which includes getting the controversial face tattoo.

“I got the eyeball tattoo to stand out from the crowd. It’s not regular to meet people with an eyeball tattoo on their face. People use to look past me when I was regular but these days, everyone tries to look at me again to know what’s happening. People’s interest in my art and movement have grown since this tattoo.”
