Executive Director of Salt & Light Ministries, Rev. Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee, and Former Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum have been honoured by the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) at a Membership Conferment Ceremony, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to Ghanaian society, professional development, and national impact.
The ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the GhIS Secretariat, where the distinguished public figures were formally conferred with honorary membership.
The event brought together a host of dignitaries and industry leaders, celebrating the remarkable contributions of the two honourees to national development, leadership, and service.

In her remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of GhIS, Surv. Sarah Ziddah, praised both individuals for their visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to Ghana’s progress.
She highlighted Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum’s transformative role in the education sector. “Over the years, Hon. Dr. Adutwum has made significant contributions to Ghana’s education, impacting lives, particularly the underprivileged and advancing national development. He is a visionary leader who has played a key role in shaping our educational curriculum,” she stated.
She also commended Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, for her exceptional service and influence across multiple sectors. “Rev. Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee’s contributions extend beyond public service and ministry. She is widely recognized for her leadership, mentorship, and business impact. Her legacy continues to inspire and influence many in Ghana and beyond,” she added.
Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition. “I am truly honoured and pleasantly surprised to receive this recognition from such a distinguished institution. Sharing this moment with Rev. Dr. Aryee makes it even more special. I extend my sincere appreciation to the leadership and council for this honour. With my 67th birthday tomorrow, this is indeed a double celebration for me,” he said.
He further emphasised the importance of inclusive education, “Ghana must continue to support the underprivileged through access to quality education. Together, we can drive the change we seek for our nation.”
Rev. Dr. Aryee, in her response, also expressed deep appreciation for the honour.
“First and foremost, I am deeply grateful for this honorary recognition. I believe this conferment is divine and timely, as I celebrate my 80th birthday. I am truly thankful for this honour,” she said. She further charged the members of the GhIS to discharge their duties with integrity and dedication.
The event was attended by several notable personalities, including Surv. Mrs. Grace Winful, Dr. Eric Nkansah, former Director-General of the Ghana Education Service and Dr. Timothy Karikari, Director- Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company amongst a host of other notable names
