, sign language interpreters Emmanuel Mbro Kumi and Martin Atta Nyamekye were present for deaf inclusivity in the discussions between the panelists and during the game itself. This is in addition to GMABC’s efforts to have its analysts provide detailed, accurate, and pictorial analysis to make the World Cup accessible to people with visual impairments as well as other efforts made on set and at viewing centers to make the World Cup watching experience an enjoyable one for all persons living with disabilities. Inclusivity for the World Cup has been a central priority for GMABC, according to its Director of Broadcasting, Timothy Karikari: “The World Cup happens every four years and is an experience each and every one has to enjoy regardless of their abilities or inabilities…It’s time as brands we become more inclusive in our programming so that nobody is left out.” GMABC will continue its coverage of the World Cup and include further persons from the Ghana Federation of Persons Living with Disabilities (GFD) to join as panelists. Free live viewings of the World Cup are provided for by GMABC in Accra (Accra Mall, Achimota Retail Centre, and Junction Mall), Kumasi (Kumasi City Mall), and Takoradi (Choice-Mart). Follow e.tv Ghana on television, Happy 98.9 FM and YFM on radio, or follow all three online and on social media as the World Cup races out of the group stage.
