"Go There", rapper Laud SHABA instructs in eruptive new anthem

For burgeoning rapper Laud Shaba, it has always been about the music: from Primary School days, right through his time at St. John’s Grammar School (where he attended secondary school) and beyond.
Formerly trading by the Boy Stif (a stage-name he took on when he first signed to the music imprint Status Quo in 2014), Banks’ initial experimentation with rhythm and verse was as member of the rap collective “Weather”.
Author of a number of great joints as Party Dope, Rokoto, She Bad (ft. Stonebwoy) among others, Laud marks a powerful return after a 2016 hiatus with the sole purpose of rediscovering himself and reconnecting with his creative depths.
Go There, the song with which he announces his rebirth, is instantly infectious Afrobeats, and refocuses attention to Shaba, who was born Laud Delali Segbe in the Netherlands in 1993. It is strictly for partygoers, and via its uncomplicated chorus, inspires easy recall –something only a handful of contemporary colleagues as Shatta Wale, Mr Eazi, and Stonebwoy have proven to be masters of.
Shaba has reportedly already secured a musical collaboration with rapper Medikal (who himself is widely praised for his handwork and ability to dispatch hits with ease). A series of EU and US gigs have also been lined up as part of activities to mark his triumphant return to mainstream prominence.
