Happy98.9FM, has opened a Book of Condolence in memory of one of its distinguished staff members Francis Cann, popularly known as Doctar Cann.
The Book of Condolence was officially opened on Monday, March 28, 2022 to family, friends and loved ones at a short memorial service held at the forecourt of Happy98.9FM, Asylum Down.
Present at the service and the opening of the Book of Condolence were management and staff of Happy98.9FM, family, friends and sympathizers.
Ambassador Edward Boateng, Chairman of Global Media Alliance (GMA), parent company of Happy98.9FM, Ernest Boateng, CEO of GMA, Edwin Amakwah, COO of GMA, Director of Broadcasting for GMABC, Timothy Karikari, Programs Manager for Happy98.9FM, Elwoode Mantey and a host of others were present at the ceremony.
Director for Broadcasting at Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC), Timothy Karikari opening the Book of Condolence sympathized with the family of the late Doctar Cann and pledged the support of the brand towards his smooth transitioning.
“Doctar Cann was full of life and this unwelcomed news did not only come as a shock to us, but has also given us heartache which is difficult to deal with. We will always remember and celebrate him. Rest well Doctar Cann.”

Francis Cann was dedicated to his family, work and all he set out to do. Although he is gone, his name and memories are forever imbued in our hearts and minds.
