Ghanaian singer Tracey Adu Opoku, popularly known as Cocotreyy, has finally opened up about her two-year hiatus from the music scene.
In an interview with Kojo Manuel and DJ Millzy on Y107.9FM urban radio station on the show “The Dryve Of Your Lyfe,” Cocotreyy revealed that she took a deliberate break to “give birth to a beautiful baby boy”.
The child, now two years old, has been featured in some of Cocotreyy’s posts on her social media accounts, but many fans failed to realize he was her son until they saw them together.
According to Cocotreyy, the news of her motherhood came as a shock to many, including her own mother, who couldn’t believe she had become a mom.
“She even asked me in surprise, ‘So, you’ve given birth?'” Cocotreyy recalled.
Cocotreyy’s decision to take a break from music to focus on motherhood is a heartwarming one, and her fans are eager to welcome her back to the music scene.
