Ghanaian socialite and media personality, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, otherwise known as Afia Schwarzenegger, has opened up for the first time since the demise of her beloved father.
In an exclusive interview on Y 97.9 FM’s “Shouts On Y” with Rahm Besia, Afia Schwarzenegger reminisced her relationship with her late father, admitting to the struggles of getting over the pain of losing a loved one.
According to her, despite the pain of losing her father, she found solace in the fact that he had found peace with God.
She shared that she had always been a strong believer in Christ and was grateful for the opportunity to share her faith with her father before he passed away.
“It hasn’t been easy but God has been faithful. I lived with my father for over 10 years so the pain of losing him doesn’t go over night. I could be talking about stuff and then subtly talk about him like he was still alive. I always say I’m practically existing but by the grace of God I’m living now. Before he died, I organized a Pastor to lead my father to Christ again and I think that was 4-5 days before he died. So, I have that comfort that he’s resting in Christ and that’s where Heaven is,” she shared.
Afia believes that her father was now in a better place, reunited with loved ones who had gone before him. She further encouraged others to cherish their relationships with loved ones and to always seek comfort in the love and grace of God.
Afia Schwarzenegger early last year January mourned the loss of her father, Augustine Adjei. Although the cause of his death remains unknown, reports suggest he was battling illness and was reportedly admitted to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital earlier. Unfortunately for Afia, she lost another loved one, her brother a week to her father’s first anniversary this year.
