Multifaceted Ghanaian artiste, DayOnTheTrack has unveiled the behind-the-scenes story of his significant involvement in Kwesi Arthur’s much acclaimed “Son of Jacob” album.

In an interview on Y 107.9 FM’s “Shouts On Y” with Winston Micheals, DayOnTheTrack known for his musical prowess, shared that his experience working on the album was nothing short of extraordinary.

Describing the project as a “crazy experience,” DayOnTheTrack disclosed that he felt a deep sense of ownership over the album, considering his extensive contribution to its creation. He indicated that he was involved in the writing and production of a total of five songs on the album, which included some of its standout tracks.

Among his notable contributions, DayOnTheTrack revealed that he was the creative mind behind the hit track “Baajo,” which featured Nigerian star, Joeboy as well as parts of “Celebrate” also featuring Teni and “Toxic” which had Adekunle Gold.

Additionally, his talents extended to his featured appearances on “Animal” and “Mind over Body.” The artiste emphasized the strong sibling bond he shares with Kwesi Arthur, highlighting their collaborative efforts across various aspects of music production.

“Fun fact is as siblings we’re always working together, from the studios, production literally everything,” he added.

DayOnTheTrack further recounted the fascinating story behind his contribution to the track “Animal.” He shared that during a studio session with the entire team, a captivating beat played on loop for some time.

“They later went out for some chitchat. I just hopped on it, did the melodies, wrote the song which took like 20-25 mins and recorded it. Later when the crew came back they went nuts on the tune I created. So that was how I ended up on it,” he said

DayOnTheTrack’s revelation about his integral role in the “Son of Jacob” album added a new layer of appreciation for the artiste’s multifaceted talents and the unique synergy that exists within the Ghanaian music scene.

He recently released his debut project dubbed “Sounds and Waves” which he describes as an “Afro-heart” project. He explained the genre to be a fine blend of Pop, High-life and Afrobeats filled with 5 song compilations. This project is off to a flying start showing great signs of promise and already amassing almost a million streams on all platforms.
