Chief Investment Officer for MIIF, Bubune Sorkpor has highlighted essential areas young people who aspire to invest their finances can venture for sustainable financial development.
Suggesting three themes the youth can invest around which is desirability, viability and feasibility, he said most young people go into businesses because they feel it’s the right time to invest but do not research enough about the kind of investment they desire.
Speaking at the Start Right Youth Conference held at the Accra Technical University on the theme: Investment opportunities for the youth: Success stories, potentials and risks; the investment expert indicated that before one would invest, they must first seek to solve a problem.
“Before you would invest you must first desire, meaning you must ask yourself if the people want the type of business you are going into, an example is a laundry, would people always want their clothes washed for them on campus, also check the pricing and with all these you can get profit from whatever you are investing into” he said.
Mr. Sorpkor encouraged the youth to aspire for greater opportunities since there are a lot of them abound only if they research, “also there are risks involved you must be ready to encounter.”
