Fashion designer and Chief Executive Officer of Akomaa Tailoring, Afia Akomaa Osei, says it is nothing to be disappointed about if a man does not give his girlfriend a gift on Valentines Day.
According to her, even though Valentine’s Day is a special time to show love, it’s still a regular day, therefore, people are not excused from their duties to go celebrate. “If a man fails to take his girlfriend out or get her a gift on that day, the lady should not feel bad or be disappointed.
Afia Akomaa made this assertion during an interview with Mercy Bee the Ekumfi Princess on eTV Ghana’s Girl Vibes.
“Obviously, he’s going to send you wishes, so if the date is not coming or the gifts are not coming, you should be appreciative. If he doesn’t wish you or give you any gift, you could take him out on a date”, she advised ladies.
She added that “even if a lady invites her man out on a date and he is busy, it is nothing to be mad about because although Valentine’s is a day to show love, it does not mean that is the only day that lovers have to prove their love.
“It’s a day to show love so it’s not just for couples. You can show love to anyone if your partner is not available. Someone else can even take you out on a date. It could be your friends, your family, even your colleagues at work”, Afia noted.
