Ghanaian hiplife and hip-pop artiste, Linford Kennedy Amankwaa who is better known as Ko-Jo Cue has explained the motive behind his recently released ’21 Memory Lane EP’.
The rapper, in an interview with Akosua Hanson on Y 107.9 FM during the ‘Y Lounge’ show mentioned that he was a storyteller and wanted to entertain his fans despite releasing albums. He added that he wanted to try a different style of storytelling and not the known ‘Ko-Jo Cue way’.
“I am a storyteller, that’s what I do and in-between major projects for me which are albums, I wanted to at least give the fans something to enjoy. But I didn’t want to do something similar to what will be on the album. So, I just thought what direction could I go and I decided to tell stories and do it differently and not the typical Kojo-Cue way,” he said.
The ‘Up and Awake’ hitmaker further described his Extended Playlist (EP) as a story about love and a cycle of romantic relationships, “It is a story about love and a life cycle of romantic relationships,” he added.
The ’21 Memory Lane’ EP is a 6-track EP that features some of Ghana’s talented artistes including; Efya, Kelvyn Boy, and Kojo Eyshun.
