Award-winning Ghanaian artiste, Kofi Kinaata has acknowledged the complexities of fame and how it has affected his life.
Kofi Kinaata with honesty and humility revealed the challenges and rewards that come with being in the spotlight as he bemoaned missing his normal life as a person.
“Being Kofi Kinaata hasn’t been all smooth sailing. It gets tough sometimes, but it has also been cool, albeit with its own complexities,” Kofi Kinaata in an exclusive interview with Rev Erskine on Y 107.9 FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show acknowledged that his rise to fame has brought both positive and negative experiences.
“Previously I could have done a lot of stuff, and people wouldn’t mind or would pay less attention.”
However, as his profile has skyrocketed, Kofi Kinaata finds himself under constant scrutiny. The once mundane tasks have become complicated in the limelight of fame.
“Now there are a lot of people watching you. So you’re literally in the limelight now, and you can’t even buy your usual beans at your popular beans joint and things like that.”
His words shed light on the loss of privacy and the limitations fame imposes on everyday activities that were once taken for granted.
Despite the challenges, Kofi Kinaata remains resolute in his pursuit of success and personal growth.
“But so far so good; that’s what we work for, and that’s what we prayed for and have been praying for.”
The artiste’s unwavering dedication to his craft and gratitude for the opportunities that have come his way continue to drive him forward.
