Ghana’s finest hypeman Kojo Manuel and the dangerous DJ, DJ Loft hosted their first outdoor live Recording Experience for their critically acclaimed mixtape series Cup and Bass.
Cup and Bass is arguably the biggest and most recognizable DJ and Hypeman Mix in Ghana.
According to Kojo Manuel the live experience is beyond a dream as a mix that was initially meant for people to jam to in-doors, has brought people out of the homes to jam.
The event saw hundreds of music lovers throng to the Beehive in Osu, to be part of this historic moment for Cup and Bass.
“Turn out was very unexpected because it was just a live recording and we didn’t anticipate anything huge,” Kojo Manuel shared.
Dubbed a day experience, the session which was supposed to end at 6pm (due to the mix being under 2 hour), ended at 8 because the attendees didn’t want the fun to stop.
Responding to request by fans for another cup and bass experience, Kojo Manuel revealed the team was already in the process of planning the next one.
“By popular request, of course (we will organize a next one). the people are calling for more and we have to deliver,” he shared.
Pulling a surprise to perform at Cup and Bass was BET winner Black Sheriff, who performed some of his Jams and also previewed new music.
Cup and Bass won the best mixtape of the year at the 2021 Ghana DJ Awards and presently stand as the most played mixtape in Ghana.
