Ghanaian music artiste Kweku Smoke has shed light on the challenges and triumphs behind his highly acclaimed “Revival Concert,” which took place during the “Detty December” season.
In a recent interview on Y97.9 FM’s popular show YCampusXpress,hosted by Mena and DJ Cue Beatz, he revealed that the concert, which was one of the most talked-about events of the year, was organized in just three weeks and without any major sponsors.
“The Revival Concert was a labor of love,” Kweku Smoke shared during the interview. “We didn’t have any major sponsorship for the event. It was not easy, but the love for the craft is what keeps us going.” His remarks highlighted the resilience and determination required to succeed in Ghana’s competitive music industry, especially during the festive season when numerous events vie for attention.
Kweku Smoke also emphasized the tight timeline for planning the concert, which took only three weeks to put together. “The Revival Concert’s time frame for planning was three weeks,” he revealed. Despite the short preparation period, the event was a massive success, drawing large crowds and earning praise for the performances and seamless execution.
