Hearts of Oak defender Larry Sumaila wants only the best players to join the team ahead of their Caf Champions League campaign next season.
The Phobians will be representing Ghana in Africa’s elite club football tourney after winning the league last July.
Hearts continued their fine form by also claiming the MTN FA Cup when they Ashantigold 8-7 on penalties Sunday evening.
Heading to Africa, the Rainbow side are rumoured to have agreed personal terms with top players in Ghana Premier League sides, based in Accra and in the Western Region.
Sumaila, speaking to YSports host Dennis Ivan Opoku on Y102.5FM, believes Hearts will welcome any player that believes in their plan and is ready to play for the fans.
“We the playing body will welcome any player that is ready to improve and strengthen our squad for all the competitions we will play.
“It’s up to the coach and the management and they know what kind of players this side will need for Africa and next season’s competitions.
“Personally, I hope to have new teammates that will intensify the pressure on the coaches with their qualities because we want to compete well in Africa.”
Larry Sumaila also thanked Hearts of Oak supporters for the love and belief they showed in the team throughout the season.
