Leicester City Sacks Claudio Ranieri

Despite winning the Premier League last season in one of the biggest shocks in football history, Leicester City have sacked Claudio Ranieri.
The Foxes have struggled to gain any sort of momentum this season, and despite their impressive run in the Champions League, Leicester have sensationally sacked the Italian from his post, according to The Daily Mail.

Leicester’s biggest fan Gary Lineker has reacted on social media after the sacking.
Back in November, Lineker promised that if Leicester retained the Premier League title, he’d do the first Match of the Day next season naked, standing on my head while Alan Shearer and Ian Wright beat him with a stick.
Well, that definitely won’t be happening now…
Leicester City have now released the following statement:
‘Leicester City Football Club has tonight (Thursday) parted company with its First Team Manager, Claudio Ranieri. Claudio, appointed City manager in July 2015, led the Foxes to the greatest triumph in the Club’s 133-year history last season, as we were crowned champions of England for the first time. His status as the most successful Leicester City manager of all time is without question.’
‘However, domestic results in the current campaign have placed the Club’s Premier League status under threat and the Board reluctantly feels that a change of leadership, while admittedly painful, is necessary in the Club’s greatest interest.’
