Manchester United's Wage Bill Revealed

The international break has come at a good time for Manchester United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have started the season poorly and sit 12th in the Premier League table after eight games.
They have a record of two wins, three draws and three defeats from those matches.
Something needs to change and a two-week break between club fixtures gives the manager a chance to do just that.
Solskjaer needs to sort things out on the pitch, but it also seems United need to fix certain things off of it too – starting with their player spending.
According to figures released by Swiss Ramble, the club’s wage bill is the highest ever reported in the English top flight – £332 million per year.
In the last three years alone, it’s grown by an incredible £100 million, a 43% increase on 2016.
It’s also interesting to note that back in 2012, United were only the Premier League’s third-highest spenders, behind Chelsea and Manchester City.
The Red Devils’ record wage bill comes after new contracts have been handed to a number of first-team stars.
David de Gea is the highest earner on a reported £375,000-per-week, while Paul Pogba makes £290,000-a-week.
Marcus Rashford, who recently signed a new deal, now earns around £250,000-per-week, while the likes of Fred, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic all still collect £120,000-a-week.
With those wages taken into account, a total bill of £332 million per year is pretty outrageous considering where United are right now.
The team crumbled in recent defeats to West Ham and Newcastle, which will leave fans questioning exactly what these players are doing to earn their hefty paychecks.
United need to turn things around and they need to do it quickly.
But that won’t be easy, because when club football resumes next weekend, Solskjaer’s side face the toughest test of their season so far, hosting league leaders Liverpool at Old Trafford.
