Marseille fans sent a very clear message to Patrice Evra during their Ligue 1 tie against Caen on Sunday afternoon.
Hours after his side recorded a 5-0 win at the Stade Vélodrome, Evra took to Instagram for the first time since Kung-Fu kicking a fan in the head, but Marseille fans were the first to let their feelings known to the masses.
Fans sent the following message to Evra, who was seemingly watching the game from the comfort of his come: “You thought you were bigger than the club & fans. We don’t want you in our colours. F**k off Evra.”
This wasn’t the only message Marseille fans sent to the former Manchester United defender.
One banner read “For the love of the OM jersey, the respect of fans and professionalism, is it too much to ask?”
As we mentioned earlier, Patrice Evra took to Instagram for the first time since Kung-Fu kicking a fan in the head.
In a picture involving his trademark Panda, the former Manchester United defender captioned the post:
“Great result tonight well done guys I’m really proud of you thanks to all real Olympique Marseille fans.. I’m receiving soo much support from them.”
In particular, the thanks to ‘all the real’ Marseille fans has sparked a reaction:
Evra received a red card before the game even kicked off for his offence, leaving Marseille with just six substitutes for the game against Vitoria.
