Ghana’s most illustrious urban radio, YFM is set to host the biggest community party in Ghana dubbed, Area Codes Jam.
The Area Codes Jam is the biggest non ticketing community-based concert aimed at giving underground artistes the needed exposure while established artistes give back to society.
Scheduled for Friday August 4, 2023, the community party will be hosted at the West Hills Mall and patrons will be thrilled with the best of musical performances from both community based and international acclaimed Ghanaian musical giants.
Below are artistes set to jam into the night with patrons;
Sista Afia
Sista Afia, is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter who gained recognition following the release of her single “Jeje”, which features dancehall artist Shatta Wale and Afezi Perry. The musician who was groomed by Bisa Kdei is widely known for singles including; ‘Weather’, ‘Sika’, ‘Asuoden’, ‘Paper’ and a host of others.
Camidoh
The Ghanaian Afropop, R&B, and Afrobeats songwriter and musician was signed by Grind Don’t Stop Records in 2018. In that same year, Camidoh released his first single titled For My Lover which featured Darkovibes.
He rose to prominence between 2021 and 2022, when he released his single Sugarcane in December 2021. He cites Akon as his musical inspiration and influence. The Best, Maria (2020), Dance With You and Sugarcane are some of the hits under his belt.
EL
The award-winning record producer, rapper, and sound engineer grew in Dansoman, a surburb of Ghana’s capital, Accra. He began his musical journey in 2008 whilst in university. Prior to joining BBnZ live, he was a part of Skillions Records.
EL has produced hit songs for many elite hip hop, hiplife, and R&B performers, such as Sarkodie (“You Go Kill Me”, “Dangerous”), D-Black (“Get On the Dancefloor”), Reggie Rockstone (“Rockstone’s Office”), Asem (“Check Your Weight”), Geelex (“Bend Your Body”) and many more.
The musician is noted for hits from; ‘Kaalu’, Shelele, Egbefia, Mi Naa Bo, Efa Wo Ho BenPo to The ChO.sen
D-Black
Desmond Kwesi Blackmore is a Ghanaian born rap artiste who has secured for himself a place among Ghana’s finest rap elites.
The Hiphop/Hiplife artiste who performs under the stage name D-black is also a music producer and an entrepreneur who owns a conglomerate.
D-black has in his music catalogue two solo albums (Muisc, Love and Life) which was released in 2011 and (The revelation) released in 2013.
Some of his hit singles are; Vera, My Kinda Girl, Falling, Change Your Life, Personal Person
B4Bonah
B4Bonah is a Ghanaian Hip Hop artiste largely known for his versatility with fusing genres. He had his major breakthrough in the music industry with the release of popular single, ‘Dear God’ which made up to the charts in Ghana. Later featuring Sarkodie on a remix.
B4Bonah has a number of resounding jams in his catalogue with “Fit”, “Kpeme”, “Devil is a Liar” among several others. After a hiatus in his career, he recently dropped “Gbɛnzɛ” to make his comeback. The new B4Bonah flow and dexterity promises to wow fans at the much anticipated Area Code.
Addi Self, Nautyca, Vanillaa, Nanky, Theo Versace, BoyDoe, Korshi T, Lali X Lola, Tripcy, Kimilist, Joint 77, Ephraim, Teflon Flexx and Sugar Kwame are artistes who will perform during the main event session.
The talent packed Area Codes Jam will also see patrons being pumped up during the pre-show with performances by; Gabby Szn, The Offis, Skeleton Wan, Young Dossah, Sitso, Kweku Winner, Yaw Last Born, 6ixty, Sean Damptey and Greatnexxt Boys
The 2023 Area Codes Jam promises to be nothing but the dopest of all community parties ever to take place in Ghana.
