Miksi Chocolate, the newest variant of the Miksi brand, over the weekend partnered the Ghana Skating Association to organize the 2016 edition of the National Skating Championship.
The competition saw breathtaking performances from most skaters as they battled for the highly coveted prize package. Nine Skating Clubs across the country graced the occasion to become one of the best competitions over the period of years. Unity Skating Club emerged as overall winners in the heated tournament which was held at the forecourt of the Trade Fair Center on Saturday.
Brand Manager for Miksi, Mrs Linda Nartey, in an interview said, supporting the competition is part of efforts by the brand to promote lesser-known sports in the country.
“As a brand we are interested in investing resources and committing our efforts in the development of skating in the country. I must also add my excitement about sponsoring this event since it has provided an opportunity for us to thank Ghanaians for their patronage of the Miksi Choco product since its emergence into the market.” Mrs Nartey explained.
Mr. Saka Acquaye, who represented the Sports ministry on the day commended Miksi Choco for the sponsorship and appealed for more.
“I want to thank the Miksi Choco brand for the good work done in helping the ministry to build the best skating team to represent the country in International competitions.” Mr Acquaye said.
He also congratulated the winners and urged them to train more in order to meet the international standard.
Winners of the competition were presented with Miksi Chocolate products and cash prizes.
