Kofi Mensah (1996-1999)

Born in Koforidua on 8th March, 1978, Mensah began his career in 1996 at Ajax. The hard tackling defender left the club after three years making 21 appearances.

Abubakari Yakubu (1999-2005)

The late Yakubu joined Ajax at only 17, going on to remain in the Netherlands for one full decade.

He helped the club to two Eredivisie titles (2001-02, 2003-04). He also won and the 2001-02 edition of the Dutch Cup and the Johan Cruyff shield in 2002).

On 31 October 2017, Yakubu died at the Tema General Hospital in his native city at the age of 35, after battling an undisclosed illness.

Kwame Gershion Quansah (2000-2004)

Quansah moved to the Ajax youth set-up from Young Kotoko in 2000. He eventually graduated to the senior side but struggled to breakthrough the first team.

He made only one appearance in four years and was shipped out on loan a couple of times before securing a permanent transfer to Heracles Almelo, where he spent the major part of his career.

His form in the 2008–09 season earned him two caps for Ghana.

Anthony Obodai (2001-2005)

Obodai began his career with Ghana Premier side Liberty Professionals in 2000. He signed for Ajax in 2001 making only 27 appearances over a four-year span and scored 2 goals.

Obodai earned four senior caps for Ghana between 2003 and 2005.

Emmanuel Kwame “Ymma” Agyeman Boakye

Boakye was a graduate of the famous Ajax Academy and was first invited to the Ajax  senior team in the fall of 2005 by the. head-coach Danny Blind.

The right back made his first team début on 24 September 2005 in the Eredivisie home game against Roda JC.

In total, Emmanuel Boakye made six appearances for Ajax in the Eredivisie, plus another four in the post-season Eredivisie play-offs and one in the Dutch Cup.

Sammy Kuffour (2008)

Kuffour is best remembered for his time with Bayern Munich, whom he represented for over a decade, winning a total of 14 honours, and playing in nearly 250 official matches.

But the Ex Black stars defender also featured briefly for Ajax in 2008.
