Ghanaian Afropop – Afrobeats artiste, Camidoh, has shared how his music videos on his YouTube channel consistently garner huge numbers.
Having just released his highly-anticipated EP dubbed, “A Life Time Is Not Enough”, Camidoh, within three days has clocked almost a million views with “Ghetto Love” off the project. He previously recorded 6m+ views with his top hit Sugarcane with the remix amassing 10m views.
According to Camidoh, he regards music as a “product” he would want to sell to a wider audience, hence pushes the product by all means necessary to reach every part of the world.
“I’m just about pushing my product so by any means necessary. I put out the arts, short videos and stuff like that to make sure it goes to the areas that people listen to Camidoh and ensure that they consume the music before I go there to do shows or anything. For me, my music is about investing, reinvesting and making sure that people get the music,” he told Rev Erskine on Y 107.9 FM’s “Myd Morning Radio Show”.
Reacting to the influence behind the project and how he produced his latest project, Camidoh, indicated that he was inspired to share with the world his dark moments during the latter part of 2022 to also help others face their struggles head-on.
He noted that despite having a host of recorded tracks, he together with his team decided to produce the record from a new set of collections.
“I’ve been working on this album for some time and it’s been long coming for my fans. This project is more like a joint work with my label, Grind Don’t Stop. I decided that I’m actually going to record a whole set of songs and it literally about stuff that I’ve been dealing with during the last quarter of 2022. This is what I really wanted to share to my fans and help people face their experiences head on. So that is what I thought to pull together to make this EP.”
Camidoh is currently on a media tour promoting his latest EP, “A Life Time Is Not Enough”. The six-track EP includes songs like “Free Me”, “Adoley”, “Like You Mean It”, “Ghetto Love”, “All Yours” and “Do Me”.
