Ghanaian heavyweight music producer, Nana Siriboe, professionally known as SIRIBEATZ has revealed that successful music production is not just learnt but an innate quality that already exists in all successful music producers.
The talented multi-genre musical producer who found his footing in music as early as 5 years old made these intriguing assertions on Y107.9FM’s YLounge with hostess, Naa Dzama where he described music producers as individuals who always desire to create. “You just go into the studio, you open your digital audio workspace and then you just start creating; it has to be an inner feeling that leads you to create.”
The beat guru added that music producers who have that innate yearning to create music pieces have an upper hand over others who become producers through learning and constant practice.
However, he believed that the latter could be more successful if the talent is not nurtured and used to its full potential. “Someone who is learning continuously can by-pass someone who has music in them if they don’t take it seriously; it’s about nurturing the talent.”
SIRIBEATZ listed being born with the gift of music production as a requisite quality to be a successful music producer and added “Having the God-given talent is very important; listening to a lot of music and being intentional with your music that you make; consistency is also very important; stay consistent and you will come through.” as essential practices that make music producers successful.
