Ghanaian actor, Van Vicker, has sent an SOS message from Nigeria where he says his life is hanging on the outcome of the Ghana-Naija match that will be happening later this evening.
In a video he posted on his Instagram page, the actor was on a movie set with some Nigerians where he said, “Nigeria plays Ghana in a football match today and I am sending out an SOS message to all Ghanaians, especially the actors. I find myself in Nigeria today and my life is being threatened”.
One of the Nigerian movie-makers whom he was on set with, jovially said to him, “It’s better that Nigeria beats Ghana today because if Nigeria doesn’t beat Ghana today, no food for two days and no hotel bill for you. Then flight. I’m not sure we’ll get flight for you. Public transport to go back”.
Despite the strict warning he received, Van Vicker kept his stance as a patriotic citizen and a die-hard Ghanaian fan and encouraged the Black Stars to win as he would rather go through these punishments and come home later via public transport than stay in Nigeria when Ghana has lost the match.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles arrived in Ghana yesterday for the 1st Leg play-off match against The Black Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, scheduled for 7:30 pm today.
The match will be carried live on Ghana’s number one sports station, Happy98.9FM.
