Ghanaian sensational singer, Elisante has identified Afro-fusion as his style of music, with his music flair more suited to “Afro-soul”.
In an exclusive interview on Y 107.9 FM’s Y Lounge with Akosua Hanson, Elisante reiterated that his music is a blend of Afro-fusion and soul, with a touch of Afrobeats.
Elisante, known for his unique voice and exceptional musical talent, revealed that his recent project “Eternity” was a result of his desire to venture into a different sound. He said that the soul vibe in “Eternity” was largely due to his ability to stretch notes and enhance the sound.
“I’d definitely call my style as the Afro-soul. It’s much more Afro-fusion with a little bit of soul into it. I do a lot of the Afrobeats as well but “Eternity” was actually an avenue that I decided to endeavor into out of most of the popular stuff that I’ve doing. So I guess “Eternity” was much more and had this kind of a soul vibe in it,” he shared.
The singer believes that his vocal dexterity has helped him in bringing out the soulful essence of his music as he continues to establish himself as a versatile artiste and is not afraid to experiment with different genres of music.
“I always say that I cling to that sound because of my vocal dexterity. I’m more into stretching notes and making the sound better and I think it really helped me when I worked on the Eternity project,” he added.
After a long hiatus, Elisante is out with his newest release dubbed, “Amanda”.
