Ghanaian highlife singer Kwaisey Pee has disclosed that records produced by him always make expected hits.
The modern highlife singer narrated the creative process of his production while speaking in an interview on Y107.9FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show, with host Rev Erskine.
Kwaisey Pee touted the production process of his music as a very integral part of his creative process, keeping a keen ear out for each detail.
He made mention of instances of doing a second production process for a song due to the absence of the expected elements in those songs. “There are a couple of songs that I’ve paid a producer to actually do and when I went back to get the songs I had to redo it; a song like Mehia Odo.”
With a desire to give his fans and listeners nothing short of the best, the ‘Konadu’ singer believes that the songs he produces are always perfect because he spends the time needed to prepare them for his listeners. “For me, I want everything perfect; it’s where you get the idea from and how you want the song to be. Even how to pick some kind of tones and some kind of elements. If I don’t get that element I need to out the song and probably revisit later because this is what I want and I am not getting it.”
