Ghanaian-South African singer Layla Mpho Mokoena popularly known as Chayuta has touted her new banger ‘Tonight’ as the best rhythmic suitor for Accra’s nightlife.
The singer in an interview on Y107.9FM’s, Dryve of Your Lyfe with host, Winston Michaels, stated that much work done on the record to make it what it is today.
She stated that her song is an Amapiano track which was an intentional decision that helped her connect to her roots and gave her sound more prominence. “Amapiano is big now, it is everywhere at the moment; I’m half South African so that gives me a connection to my home.”
She added that the record was released at the right time on account of the incoming festive season and expects it to be played at all event centers.
“December is coming up and the period in which this song was released was perfect timing; I expect to hear all of the stages and clubs this December.”
