Young and budding Ghanaian musician Abigail Yaa Lolade, best known as Abitemi has shared that her music and creative processing are engineered through the African culture.
In an interview with Akosua Hanson on Y107.9 FM’s “Y Lounge”, she describes herself as a multi-layered individual across the music space.
“Abitemi is an African artiste, a singer, a songwriter and a performer. I call myself an African artiste because I use African culture to make music and generate majority of my works through the African culture,” she said.
Speaking of her journey in the entertainment industry, Abitemi reiterated that she officially started venturing into the music in business in 2019, although she ordinary honed her talent in 2014.
“I started music in 2014 but I took it more seriously after school that was 2019”, she told Akosua Hanson.
Abitemi has since produced several songs and is currently on a media tour promoting her maiden EP dubbed “Just the Beginning”.
