According to renowned newspaper ‘L’Equipe’, Paris Saint-Germain’s Brazilian forward has already apologised to his team-mates for the controversy he caused with Cavani a few days ago.
Neymar regretted the disruptive scene caused in the clash against Lyon when he argued with Cavani, another one of the stars and big egos of the Parisian side, over who would take a penalty.
According to the aforementioned source, the player apologised during training, in front of all the members of his new team. In order to get his message across, Neymar’s compatriot Thiago Silva helped him and translated his message of remorse from Brazilian to French.
And so, it seems as if the dispute which dominated football news for the past few days has been settled. A few hours earlier, PSG coach Unai Emery admitted that there was a strong discussion between the two players, but it was nothing out of the ordinary.
“Emotions were riding high and there was a fairly strong conversation but it was normal. It happens every game, in one way or another, but this doesn’t rupture the harmony or good atmosphere that runs through the team.”
All’s well that ends well for PSG and their star players…
