Nicklas Bendtner is set to star in his own reality television show alongside model girlfriend Philine Roepstorff.
Danish publication dr are reporting the show will be title ‘Bendtner and Philine’ and has been commissioned by Discovery Networks.
The show is set to begin in the spring and it marks an interesting career turn for ‘Lord Bendtner’.
The former Arsenal striker is currently without a club after leaving Danish outfit Copenhagen last year.
‘Both Philine and I are used to being in the media spotlight,’ the 32-year-old said in a press release.
‘Many stories are written about us, and we often find that only half the truth emerges. In my book, I talk about the ups and downs that have shaped my life and my career so far, and this series is a natural continuation of that tale.’
It also states the show will be, ‘on the sidelines when Bendtner has to make big decisions on the career front’.
The former Denmark international lasted three months at Copenhagen, signing in September and leaving in the following December.
He suggested following his departure that he could call time on his 14 year playing career.
‘There is no doubt that I had a dream that it would turn into more playing time and maybe a longer deal,’ he said.
‘But I fully respect the decision made by Stale [Solbakken, Copenhagen manager], and I do not regret in any way that I got this time.
‘Now I want to think about my future and think carefully about whether I should try a new adventure in the football world or stop and start some new adventures in life.’
The former Juventus man also explained he and Philine have a ‘chemistry and an internal humour’ they want to show the rest of Denmark.
