Sensational Ghanaian rapper and songwriter, Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, popularly known as Yaw Tog, has revealed how he was treated at the 2021 AFRIMMA Awards held in Nigeria.

Describing Nigerians as hostile, the ‘Sore’ hitmaker mentioned that himself, Kofi Jamar and Gyakie were not treated as celebrities in Nigeria.

“Nigerians don’t treat Ghanaian artistes like their main artistes, they treat you as a normal person. You can’t be treated like Davido or Burna Boy there”, he told Y 107.9 FM’s Kojo Manuel during the ‘Dryve of your Lyfe’ show.

The rapper further disclosed how he was treated at the events in Ghana compared to Nigeria.

“When we went there, they treated us differently, everything was normal compared to Ghana where I would have received some special treatment. Things were hard there”, he added.

Yaw Tog is currently on a media tour promoting his new song ‘Azul’ which features Nigerian act Bad Boy Timz.
