Ghanaian event organizer and team lead of YB Entertainment, Yeboah Kofi, professionally known as YB , has debunked a wave of rumors circulating on social media following Black Sherif’s recent performance at UNIFEST in Sekondi-Takoradi.
The award-winning artiste has come under heavy criticism for arriving late to the show over the weekend, which was scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM. Many patrons expressed their displeasure over his delayed appearance.
Speaking in an interview on Y97.9’s Digi Trendz with host PM, YB addressed the concerns surrounding the event, where Black Sherif was the headline act. Several disgruntled attendees took to social media to vent, with numerous posts claiming that a GHS 300,000 payment had been made to the artiste’s team which intensified the backlash.
YB, however, clarified that no university in Takoradi was directly involved in negotiations with Black Sherif’s management. He stressed that YB Entertainment was the only party in communication with the artiste’s team.
“Everything going on, all the rumors being spread are lies. The issues surrounding this particular concert are between just two managements,” he stated.
