Ole Gunnar Solskjær Hauled In Front Of Ed Woodward After Worrying Leak

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had his first crisis meeting at Manchester United after the new manager was called in for a meeting with Ed Woodward following the loss to Manchester City on Wednesday night.
Not that long ago a good number of people were wondering why Manchester United hadn’t appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent manager yet, after his brilliant start as interim boss, now people are asking if they didn’t wait long enough.
The Norwegian had a storming start to life at Old Trafford but since beating PSG in the Champions League last 16 second leg, and being named permanent boss, the team have lost seven of the last nine in all competitions.
United’s lowest moment recently was the 4-0 loss to Everton last weekend but things didn’t improve too much to Wednesday’s 2-0 loss at home in the Manchester derby.
The players showed more spirit against local rivals City but were totally outplayed by Pep Guardiola’s men and the performance warranted a word with Ed Woodward.
According to the Daily Mail the club’s executive vice-chairman held ‘crisis’ talks with the manager and assistant manager Mike Phelan.
As well as the team’s form they discussed the leak of the team with Matteo Darmian’s surprise inclusion being revealed by the press several hours before the game.
The right back hadn’t started for United since Jose Mourinho’s last game in charge, a 3-1 loss away against Liverpool and he started as part of a back five on Wednesday.
His inclusion was supposed to be a secret and the manager’s decision to train at the old training ground, The Cliff, was also found out by the press and meant the session was cut short.
The club will want to find out where leaks are coming from and stop them, especially with big games and big transfer plans to come this summer.
United host Chelsea on Sunday in a must win match in the race for the last two remaining Champions League places.
The Blues sit three points ahead of their rivals and a win for the visitors would pretty much take United out of the running.
