Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Tells Manchester United Fans They Cannot Keep Living In The 1990's

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Manchester United fans they cannot keep live in the 1990’s as times have changed.
The Norwegian saw his side draw 0-0 against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League last night, with United failing to register a single shot on target in the 90 minutes.
It continues a wretched run of form for the Red Devils, who now have just five wins in their last 22 games.

And Solskjaer was quick to point out that United’s situation now is much different to the dizzying heights the club reached under Sir Alex Ferguson back in the day.
“We’re not in the ’90s now,” Solskjaer replied when asked why United no longer have that fear factor, as per The Telegraph.
“It’s a different era, a different group that we’re building. We know there are going to be ups and downs. I’m ready to see these boys blossom. There are not many clubs with our stature that play the young players that we do.
“They’ve got a chance to come through and we’re sure some of these will be part of a successful team.
“I don’t know what the opponents think of us. I just know sometimes when you walk off games, we’re not doing bad here. Sometimes there’s a gap. I’ve felt that a couple of times but not very often. I can’t think about what anyone else is thinking about us. We will need to improve and that is what we have to do.”
Bury, who are no longer a football club, have won an away game more recently than United but Solskjaer saw the positives and claimed he was “very happy” with the performance against a “good opponent on a very bad surface”.
However, Michael Owen gave a scathing assessment on BT Sport after the game – stating that United are now a mid-table side.
“I’d say (Man United are now a mid-table team),” the 2001 Ballon d’Or winner said.
“I don’t think they’ll be top six this season, personally.
“Top half I think is likely, but just the fact we’re having this conversation is the worry, isn’t it? This has got to be the worst Man United team for decades, since before Sir Alex Ferguson took over.”
