CEO of Bu Vision Entertainment, Abou “Bu” Thiam has indicated that the Ghanaian sensation OliveTheBoy’s unique sound sets him apart from the chunk of talents in the country.
OliveTheBoy recently signed to Sony Music Columbia through Bu Vision Ent. after his trailblazing single, “Goodsin” from his depute EP, “Avana.”
In a recent exclusive interview on Y 107.9 FM’s “ShoutsOnY” with Naa Dzama, Bu recounted OliveTheBoy’s monumental signing with Sony Music Columbia, a deal that took about a month to finalize.
He expressed his conviction in the decision, emphasizing the unique qualities that set OliveTheBoy apart. Bu said, “I’ve been in the business for a while, and my attention was drawn to OliveTheBoy’s music, especially Goodsin, after Qing Madi did a cover of the song. I was amazed because, for me, it was about the kind of tone that he has, his sound, and the way he writes his songs.”
This endorsement from such a global industry heavyweight speaks volumes about OliveTheBoy’s potential and distinctive artistry. Bu continued, “Coming from Ghana, I was like, this is different and feels different. So for me, it was important to come, meet him, and spend some time with him.”
