Many knew there will be lauds of controversies after defunct group member Paa Kwasi of Dobble fame mounted the VGMA’s stage to receive their first time award won in Ghana after releasing several hit songs.
Although, many expected the duo [Paa Kwasi and Ennwai] present at the just ended prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) Paa Kwasi, mounted the stage to receive the award on behalf of his other half brother Ennwai.
Patrons wanted to see the duo [Dobble] perform their hit songs on the night but resulted futile.
Congratulatory messages begun to flow on social media platforms for winning Vodafone Song Of The Year with their hit song christened ‘Christy’.
Report according to Razzonline.com, indicated that Ennwai’s manager known as Pope told razzonline that Paa Kwasi who happens to be the other half of the defunct group [Dobble], kept tickets for their Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMAs) nomination meant for Ennwai.
Speaking via phone with Blagogee.com, am surprised at the way my brother Ennwai and his management are acting after i received the award on behalf of the group.
He [Paa Kwasi] asked who filed ‘Christy’ for this year Vodafone Ghana Music Award?… am waiting for their answer.
He added that :After so many years of hustling…..this was how a brother left me in cold…..not even a call….Now somebody tell me how the “F” did Paa Kwasi became the one who is at fault…….U told my Team point blank that u[you] not interested in the Awards…. I filed for nominations….got it for the group….did all the follow ups…..everything by myself without a brother asking how it is going……None asked me how I did it…..Now that the award is here …..u guys are are talking about Paa Kwasi is the reason why Enn Wai did not show up….Paa Kwasi Kept his tickets…Did a brother picked up a phone to even call me to ask?…..God will always be there for the clean heart……#HIDDENtruth
“…i know my brother [Ennwai] very well more than his own management. I know i made mistake in my speech but am human… that was why i came back and said: “I didn’t do this alone i did it with my brother Ennwai, he continued”.
Dobble’s Christy won song of the year beating Bisa K’dei’s Jwe, Confession – Kofi Kinaata Beshiwo – Becca ft. Bisa K’dei, Mintse Bo – Wisa Greid  and Bokor Bokor – Kill Beatz ft. Mugeez & Fuse ODG.
