Paul Pogba‘s problem in this transfer window is trying to get a move away from his current club. One of his brothers however has contrasting issues in that he cannot keep one.
Having been released by Sparta Rotterdam last year Mathias Pogba has just been turned down by a German third division side – because he is too fat.
KFC Uerdingen took Paul’s older brother on trial but decided against offering him a full-time contract.
Explaining the reason for Pogba’s release, Uerdingen boss Stefan Kramer did not sugar coat why he decided against offering the 27-year-old a full-time deal.
‘Mathias has already gone. He would not have been able to improve our team. He is not yet in good enough shape physically,’ Kramer said.
‘Mathias is a big guy, and he has a good body for a number nine. But he still has too many kilos around his hips.’
Pogba plays as a striker but has struggled throughout his career to settle at a club having also had spells at Wrexham, Crewe Alexandra, Crawley and Partick Thistle.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba is determined to land a move to Barcelona despite Manchester United insisting they will not sell their star midfielder.
Sportsmail understands that his main reason for leaving is his desire to play for Barcelona, and that is fractured realtionship with United manager Jose Mourinho is a secondary issue.
Mourinho appeared to offer an olive branch for the season opener against Leicester City by making the midfielder captain, but Pogba responded by saying after the match that he could not discuss the situation without being fined.
