Rebecca Acheampong, popularly known in the showbiz world as Becca was in Kumasi last week for series of activities. The “Na Wash” singer was in the Garden City to embark mainly on a “Menstrual Hygiene” education which took place on Friday, 26th May, 2017 at the Jubilee Park.

The Becca Hearts Foundation together with “Touching the Lives of Girls Foundation International” have partnered to put together this initiative with a mutual aim to educate girls on female hygiene (hygienic menstrual practices).
Among the Eighteen(18) schools in celebration of world family hygiene day in Kumasi were; Ideal college, Afia Ampem Senior high school, Yaa Asantewaa Senior High School, St. Louis Senior High School, St. Louis College of Education, St. Augustine’s Primary, Asem Islamic Primary, St Peters Primary, among many others.

The day recorded over 1000 students who were presented with over 2000 Royal Lady sanitary pads, over 2000 posters on feminine hygiene (Presented to Ghana Education Service for distribution to all SHS & JHS) and many other goodies.
The project is supported by Zylofon media, Ministry Of Education, Ghana Education Service, Royal Lady Sanitary pad, Perla water etc.
The multiple award winning singer also embarked on a media tour during her 3-day visit to Kumasi and capped off her stay with a 2-Hour autograph signing session at the Kumasi City mall on Friday with people from all walks of life trooping to the venue to catch a glimpse of the beautiful songstress. One revelation which was noted was the fact that two of Becca`s songs Na Wash with Patoranking and Mene waa are receiving maximum rotation on radio and they happen to be the favorite of the people in the Ashanti Regional Capital.
