Ghana Food Movement (GFM) in collaboration with the Ghana Netherlands Business and Cultural Council (GNBCC) is thrilled to announce the upcoming Food Career Fair on September 16th at Alliance Francaise in Accra.
This first-of-its-kind event promises to bring together leading food and agriculture companies, industry experts and aspiring youth, eager to make their mark in the food industry. It will connect over 50 innovative businesses with 150 + pre-selected job seekers. This will give youth a unique platform to explore diverse career opportunities in the food and agric sector.
The fair will provide an exceptional platform for companies to promote themselves among the youth, connect with skilled talent, and capitalize on the immense potential that the next generation of professionals holds. This will save companies time, effort & recruitment costs. Joining this career event is also a great way for companies to invest in youth employment and network with other industry players.
The Ghana Food Movement is known for their ability to attract and interact with youth, inspiring them to see their important role in Ghana’s future food industry. Their events are unique and innovative as it combines fun and knowledge. “People learn best when they don’t realize they are learning and experience fun” thus Abdallah Smith – director of GFM.
The Food Career Fair offers an extensive program designed to facilitate networking and knowledge-sharing while getting inspired to choose a career in food. Besides exhibition booths for all partnering companies, there will be plenary sessions with industry leaders, interactive panel discussions, one-on-one career counseling sessions with mentors and more.

For university graduated youth
This fair is part of Ghana Food Movement’s Youth in Food Program, a pre-employment program that offers 6 months of tailored mentorship for 50 fresh graduates. The program selects youth from various backgrounds because the food industry needs all kinds of skills to innovate and grow. These youth will get mentored in their job search; from identifying valuable job openings to contract negotiation. They will also get in-person and online skills training, visit companies and meet with CEOs.
