Versatile Master of Ceremony (MC), Nana Quasi-Wusu affectionately called PM is set to celebrate his tenth (10th) anniversary as a professional MC with street kids through an event dubbed ‘Dine with the street’.
‘Dine with the street’ is a community investment initiative which is being organised by PM Foundation and PM Entertainment Consult (PEC), to show love to one thousand (1000) street kids at Akalima-TTU street, New site Takoradi.
Speaking about the 10-year-milestone as a professional MC and why street kids are dear to his heart, the Finest MC said:
‘’In 2009, my pastor gave a chance to be the MC for our Sunday service, I have never emceed a show before and it was quite nerve wrecking but I rehearsed, watched videos of prominent MCs and from that day an MC was born.’’
He also said his first role model was his mother, who sung and hosted events at church. His emceeing career according to him blossomed when he gained admission to pursue Civil Engineering at the Takoradi Technical University (TTU).
‘’During my school days at TTU, I grabbed every opportunity to MC, from hosting birthday parties, hall week celebrations fashion shows, pool parties to artiste nights among others’’ he said.
He stated that, while in school the greatest boost to his career was the chance to host the biggest fashion show in the Western Region, ‘Technique Style’ a show he hosted for four (4) consecutive years.
‘’I remember the thrill I had when I hosted ‘Technique Style’, I hosted it for four (4) years. I hosted Miss TTU, G Park Awards Night. I was invited by the TTU SRC, to host some events even after school. My first honorarium was a pack of jollof with chicken and I got my first cash Ghs 50.00’’ he revealed.
PM is not only an excellent MC, he is an award winning radio presenter who has won several awards including the coveted Best Reggae Presenter in the Western Region. He is currently, the host of the number one (1) late afternoon show in the Western Region ‘Dryve of your Lyfe’ on Y97.9.
