Headlining artiste for Promise Land, King Promise has assured fans of a show devoid of delays in this year’s edition.
The highly patronized show which saw its inaugural edition in 2019, has had fans frown upon the lateness of King Promise to the event for the past two editions.
King Promise in an interview on Y107.9FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show with host Rev Erskine revealed that his late turn up is not deliberate but happens to be a result of a number of defects that emerge on the day and could be detrimental to the smooth running of the show. “It’s always like you know with events back home is always madness. Just putting it together and trying to make sure things work properly to give them the best show they deserve. Last year we had the setup already done hours before but just before I went on stage there was a defect that came up from nowhere.” he explained.
“Honestly, I really wish that was not the case. I don’t think my interest is to keep people waiting, If you were in my shoes as an artiste wanting to go on but you cannot go, you’d lose your mind.” he added.
King Promise assured to give his fans an early turn up at this year’s edition of Promise Land, which will take place on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Ghud Park, Accra. “So it’s not intentional, I don’t plan on keeping you guys waiting this year. It’s never been the plan; whatever time we put out that I’m going to be on the stage that is the time I will be on the stage.” he vowed.
