The battle for who becomes the next rap god/goddess in the second edition of Rapture has gathered momentum as the contest reaches the battle stage.
This round will prove which of the 20 contestants who sailed through auditions across the Y-Triangle is the real deal, and have what it takes to represent their region in the finals.
At this stage, contestants who accumulate the most points and rise to the top of the Leaderboard will move an inch closer to bearing the Rapture crown.
For Y107.9FM-Accra, the 3 phased battle will begin on Tuesday, May 7, 2022 and end on Friday, May 24, 2022.
Y102.5FM-Kumasi and Y97.9FM-Takoradi will both begin their battle rounds on Wednesday, May 8, 2022 to Friday, May 24, 2022.
Rapture II Project Lead, Ato Kwamina, asserts the battle stage will be what Ghanaians have anticipated for so long, and will unearth the greatest talents representing the new generation, and the future of rap culture.
He called on Ghanaians to keenly follow the contest as “no one wants to miss out on this historic journey.”
‘Rapture’ is beautifully and creatively coined from source words Rap + Culture and Future seeks to keep the rap culture alive. ‘Rapture’ will also provide a phenomenal opportunity for Hip-hop to shine.
The winner of Rapture II will take home a whopping GHS 10,000 among other amazing prizes.
