American Pop and R&B diva, Rihanna made an impressive comeback to the stage on Sunday, floating above the Super Bowl pitch, dazzled the crowd with a fast-paced medley of her favourites, and announced that she is expecting her second child.

Rihanna, with a notably protruding belly, sang “Bitch Better Have My Money” as she stood on a stage dangling in the air while wearing a hot pink jumpsuit and a loose-fitting coat.

Rihanna’s performance marked the start of the biggest music showcase. She performed hit songs from her outstanding catalogue including “Only Girl (In the World),” “Rude Boy,” and “Work” while she was progressively lowered to the ground.

The Grammy Award winner, 34, has not taken the stage in the previous five years. 2016 saw the release of her most recent album, “Anti.”

Social media users assumed Rihanna was expecting a new kid based on the singer’s appearance. Following the performance, the singer’s representative revealed that Rihanna was really expecting a child.

In May 2022, the singer gave birth to a boy, her first child with rapper A$AP Rocky. Rocky could be seen in the crowd at the stadium applauding his girlfriend’s performance.

As fireworks illuminated the sky all around the stadium, Rihanna finished her Super Bowl performance with “Diamonds.”

Rihanna joins a long list of musical greats, including Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Prince, Madonna, and the Rolling Stones, who have played at the Super Bowl. Typically, 100 million people in the United States watch the show alone.

Troy Kotsur, the Oscar-winning star of “CODA,” performed the U.S national anthem in American Sign Language during the pre-game ceremony as Chris Stapleton sang on.

Sheryl Lee Ralph, the Emmy-winning star of “Abbott Elementary,” joined by a choir, sang the hymn “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” which has come to be known as the Black national anthem.
