Ghanaian rap legend, Sarkodie continues to set the standard further higher in the music industry. Barely a week after the release of his eighth studio album titled, “Jamz”, the award-winning artistes joined the Golden Club on Africa’s most expansive music streaming and download platform, Boomplay.
His historic feat was achieved after he amassed over 100m streams on Boomplay.
Sarkodie joins Black Sherif to become just the second Ghanaian act to record the 100M streams milestone, after having had a phenomenal run with his previously released singles and his latest album “JAMZ”.
The iconic Ghanaian star also joins the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Diamond Platinumz, Fireboy DML, Joeboy, Ayra Starr, Fireboy, Asake, Adekunle Gold, Pheelz, Kizz Daniel, Ruger, Mayorkun, Omah Lay and Rayvanny to have clocked and surpassed the 100M streams milestone.

Earlier on Thursday, Sarkodie visited the Boomplay office as part of his pre-release activations for the “Jamz” album.
Based on Boomplay’s 2021 Recap, an annual campaign that highlights statistics and insights of artist performances based on music consumption by users across Boomplay’s operational zones under a specific year in review, Sarkodie was the most streamed musician on the platform in 2021.
In a few weeks, the streamer’s 2022 Recap will be revealed, and the SarkNation fans are eager to learn what honours King Sark, will receive.
